Sorry for the delay in getting to these. Finals, holidays, and so on.

Describe your poetry in 25 words or less.

Compelling events and people are absorbed and stored for weeks, months, or years. When the muse is ready, they appear on the image-oriented page.

Who has influenced you the most as a writer?

Bukowski, Merwin, Strand, James Tate, Wakoski, Ginsberg, Rimbaud, Dylan, Dobyns. Not in any particular order.

Tell me about your poems “Welcome to Loner Town” and “The Spanish Barber and Mensa.”

They were written at two different times as part of two different collections written over a period of a couple months. The former bounced off Greta Garbo’s quote, and the latter off of what a friend said.

Do you keep a blog?

No.

What are you reading right now?

Mostly magazines now. Will jump to poems soon.

Do you have any advice for other writers?

No.

What are you working on right now?

My muse is in hiatus right now. I hope to swing back into action sometime next year.
